Eating pasta is not fattening and can actually decrease your chances of becoming obese a recent Italian study found.
Our Mediterranean friends have been knocking back bowls spaghetti and ravioli for decades whilst most of us have been shunning pasta and demonising carbs for a much lighter alternative.
Published in the journal Nutrition and Diabetes, the study said pasta consumption is associated with better weight management in part because it often occurs as part of a healthy Mediterranean diet.
Like always – everything in moderation. It’s time to drop the fear of carbs and dig in to a bowl of homemade bolognese.
