DESSERT QUEEN | The Original Totes Amazeballs

Epic treats that are all raw, vegan, gluten free and refined sugar free we won’t say no especially when they’re a ridiculously delicious bounty ball slathered in chocolate. Never a girl to sit down and just eat a plate of fruit and vegetables we sat down with up and coming dessert queen Isabella from the original totes amazeballs.

What does health mean to you?

Health to me is all about balance, balance in every way. I believe too many people these days are getting too caught up in trends and not being true to themselves and in that they’re losing their balance.

How did you get into the health and wellness industry?

I’ve always had an interest in the health and wellness industry but two years ago it kicked into high gear when I got back from a long stint in Europe and found out I was gluten intolerant, I needed to think of alternatives for my cake addiction and that was the beginning of The Original Totes Amazeballs.4

We love your approach to food “I’m not raw, I’m not vegan” What’s some of your not so sweet go to meals? I love cooking, especially Venezuelan dishes (i’m venezuelan/italian so that explains my big appetite) arepas (staple venezuelan food) filled with black beans, avocado, carne mechada (slow cooked meat) and cheese (vegan or not) is one of my favourites to prepare, along with smoked tofu rice paper rolls.

Not only whipping up epic treats you’re also studying nutritional medicine.

Fav subject? Human biological science

Subject you could leave at the door? Bio chemistry…it’s a tough one.

Favourite ways to break a sweat?

Boxing, H.I.I.T sessions and chasing after my dog (Duke) at the beach.

3 Things always in your shopping basket?

Bananas, coco quench coconut milk and avocados.

We know it’s like picking a favourite child but your go to sweet treat?

It would be a tie between my white choc raspberry cake or my new pina matcha colada cake.

Best advice you’ve ever been given?

Listen to others and don’t be afraid to ask for help.
