Creamiest porridge ever | RECIPE

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day they’ve been telling us for years but it actually is and you shouldn’t skip it and sorry to say but coffee doesn’t make the cut for a nourishing breakky. ‘Breaking the fast’ from the time you fall asleep when your body actually has time to rest, recover and rejuvenate. Breakky is the most important meal of the day because not only does it set up your metabolism, energy levels and digestion for the day and it’s just so delicious. If you skip breakfast it’s like running a car with no petrol, you need to fuel your body with the right ingredients to make it work in the most efficient way. Our favourite way to kick start our mornings to power through the day and workouts always involves some sort of oats. Nutritious, cheap and you can always throw your own style to them.

Body clarity know how to design workouts but they are also all over healthy, nutritious meals. This recipe is for the most luscious, creamy porridge with so much flavour it is actually just amazing and if you’re thinking it’s too hot for porridge we love cooking this up and having it cold the next day with some extra coconut yoghurt on top.

Body Clarity’s ‘Creamy Dreamy Coco Porridge’
  • You will need;
  • 1 cup whole oats
  • 1/4 desiccated coconut
  • 1 cup coconut milk
  • 1/4 cup water
  • Fruits to serve on top
Combine oats, coconut, coconut milk and water in a pan (even better if you can soak the oats overnight in the water, you may need one cup)
Stir on a gentle heat until creamy and cooked through. Approximately 7 minutes.
Add a splash of additional coconut milk, tropical fruits like mangos, strawberries and passionfruit and voila.
*TL tip add some buckinis or nuts to for some added crunch. The best.
