5 Genius Grocery Items Offshore

We like convenience, we like healthy things and lately the big supermarkets (overseas – not in Australia – just cauli rice doesn’t cut it anymore) have been upping their game in what ‘new’, ‘it’ and ‘trendy’ healthy grocery item(s) they can be the first to bring to us as customers. We’ve found 5 of the best grocery items and where you can find them offshore.

Cauliflower gnocchi

This could just be the greatest, low carb, keto friendly invention in our eyes. With 5 ingredients –  CAULIFLOWER, CASSAVA FLOUR, POTATO STARCH, EXTRA VIRGIN OLIVE OIL, SEA SALT. You can’t be the OG of gnocchi but the reviews so far on this new product to hit the shelves at Trader Joes is all positive.

SKYR Yoghurt – Siggi’s

We don’t know how they actually get this yoghurt so thick & creamy. Definitely nothing like it here in Australia that we’ve tasted but this traditional Icelandic yoghurt will go above and beyond any yoghurts on the shelves in Australia’s supermarkets. Available in all good grocery stores in the USA.

Collard Wraps

Another common grocery/pre packaged item in the USA are ‘collard wraps’. Go to a supermarket,  sandwich bar, fast food burger place and there will always be a low carb option – either wrapped in a big lettuce leaf or a collard green (leaf of a green vegetable). Gaining some momentum in boutique burger shops in Australia this is the norm throughout most of America. Try places like In and Out or a healthier alternative Erewhon to get your low carb sandwiches.

Cauliflower Pizza Crust

I have to admit I am all for cauliflower pizza but I would not make it myself. However with this genius product at my local supermarket it would be the easiest low carb option if you didn’t want to indulge in the real deal. Also available at Trader Joes.

RX Snack bars

These protein packed snacks & sweet treat are that healthy that the ingredients are packaged on the front. Legit no BS in these. The greatest thing about these bars though is that they are available everywhere in the US.. petrol stations, supermarkets, health food shops – so there is really no reason to pick up a snickers bar unless you really wanted to just have a snickers bar.
