If you are anything like us, you love wearing make-up. But take one glance inside our bathroom cabinet and it would be clear where our product loyalty lies.. and that would be skin care. However, something we have been hearing a lot of lately is more about natural holistic beauty tools. So, we have been diving a little more into this side of skin care and are currently obsessed – Hello did someone say natural botox and increased collagen!? Where do we sign up?
We sat down with Tully who is going to give you her top 4 beauty tools for plump skin.
Jade rolling is something I have introduced into my skincare regime the last 3 months and could not recommend it more. Jade rolling lifts the skin and reduces puffiness. It can also relieve tension in areas like the middle of the eyebrows or around the jaw. I also love to roll it in a downward motion targeting my glands to clear the lympthatic system. Its super easy to use just roll the roller in a gentle upward and outward motion on all areas of the skin. I love to use it once I have finished my skincare routine in the morning post moisturizer etc. Another little tip is to place it in the freezer so its super cold when rolling.
Gua sha is a natural, alternative therapy that involves scraping your skin with a massage tool Again this improves circulation and reduces inflammation. It is an ancient Chinese healing technique which can also help addressing issues like chronic pain. Its super easy to use all you need to do is pop on some facial oil and grab your Gua Sha sweep upwards and outwards. Don’t freak out if your face turns red, redness is a good thing. I also like to apply to pressure points and hold for 5 seconds. What I also love about this technique is Gua shad is intended to address stagnant energy, called chi in the body. A lot of Chinese therapist believe that that stagnant energy may be responsible for inflammation and chronic diseases. So many benefits and super easy to use.
I found out about this little weapon of a device from a good from of mine in LA, who purchased it from Amazon. When she was explaining to me I honestly thought it was a treatment that you should be getting from a skincare professional. However, this little at home device is LEGIT! The derma roller, which is basically a little roller made up of super teeny tiny needles. I saw the difference in my friends skin from before and after and had to give this little baby a try. One thing I noticed is the derma roller looks bloody terrifying its literally covered in baby needles. But surprisingly it doesn’t hurt at all. After using it a few times I noticed my scars were about five times better with hardly any redness.
This baby is an award winning anti-ageing device that is designed to mimic a facelift by tightening and lifting the skin. If used regularly (about three times a week ) and correctly the NuFace seriously does work. One of my friends has started to use it and at first, I was a little sceptical but honestly I can see the difference her skin looks tighter + cheekbones look plumper and more lifted. When I complemented her, she assured me it was the NuFace. If you are as intrigued as we were.. check out the link below on how to use the NuFace.
Tip: Like any device, always make sure you read the instructions carefully before using the device. Electrical currents may case damage if used on the same spot for too long!
